Charlotte NC: Carolina Panthers seem to be in a bad situation. In less than two months since hosting first playoff game since 2008 and posting a 12-4 record. They have let several players on both sides of the ball leave for other teams. Safety Mike Mitchell signed with Steelers and (CB) Captain Munnderlyn signed with Minnesota Vikings. They also fell to retain any of the teams top wide- outs including longtime Panther Steven Smith, who signed with Baltimore Ravens for 3 year $12 Million Dollar contract. Looks like Carolina is hurting for money due to recent bad contract signing and extention deals. Running Back Jonathan Stewart seems to be holding Panthers Hostage due the amount of money involved. Stewart hasn't played a complete season since 2011. In 2013 he only played in 6 games rushing 48 times for 180 yards. In 2012 he played in 9 games rushing 93 times for 336 yards. His productive continues to decline and now is not able to be traded. As a result Panthers are having difficulty offering money to top named Free Agents. This is the main reason they fail to land Charlotte Native and Former New York Giant Hakeem Nicks.
